Human Resources and Equal Opportunity Policy

Sets fair recruitment, employment and workplace standards.

Applies to

Governing Body members, employees, consultants, volunteers, interns, facilitators and contractors where the subject relates to their role.

Employment standard

Punjabi Samvad bases recruitment and work decisions on role requirements, competence, conduct and performance. The organisation does not permit unlawful discrimination or retaliation.

Required practices

  • Issue clear appointment or engagement terms.
  • Define duties, supervision and reporting lines.
  • Maintain attendance, leave and compensation records.
  • Provide a grievance and disciplinary process.
  • Apply wage, social-security, safety and working-condition requirements that cover the role.
  • Record separation decisions and return organisational property.

Labour law

India brought the four labour codes into force on 21 November 2025. Punjabi Samvad reviews the codes, applicable rules and state requirements against its workforce, role types and work locations. The organisation seeks professional advice when a threshold or worker classification is unclear.
